Ebola at Work

A little development on my Ebola virus design [link] . As you can see, he's pretty messy. Ebola's a messy illness so hey, it fits. In the context of the Osmosis Jones anthro-microbe universe, he spreads by mating with cells (usually not with their permission, he's a real shithead) of both sexes. Regardless of the 'gender' of the cell, it becomes an incubator for new Ebola viruses, which burst forth from the cell's body anywhere between 48 and 96 hours later, killing the host cell quite messily. The baby viruses take about a day to fully mature and go on to impregnate more cells until the internal organs liquify and the poor sod bleeds out every orifice they have. They can all impregnate cells since they really don't have a physical gender. They tend to identify as the same sex as the cell they burst out of, but they all sport the same equipment. This great-granddaddy virus doesn't have an individual name yet, but you can see why he took some offense to Thrax's trash talk! You don't insult Ebola.
