showed me a few parts of the animated Clone Wars show (not the CG one) I felt inspired to take a stab at General Grievous. His design reminds me of an anthropomorphic insect, so that's where this came from. It really didn't need that much tweaking. I just added some more organic elements to the exoskeleton inspired by mantises and grasshoppers (the thighs). And of course wings. Every badass bug needs wings!
